Bigwigs Angora is all kindly produced from my own herd of Angora bunnies, here in Littondale. The fibre grows an inch a month and is harvested by giving the bunnies a haircut with scissors every 16 weeks.

Angora is a hair, one of the finest natural fibres, beautifully soft and very warm so perfect for luxury winter accessories. The rabbits are a variety of colours from black (smoke), grey, fawn, chocolate, gold and white.

Fibre is sold to spinners and felters, but most is sent for blending with supersoft sheep wools and being spun into a double knitting yarn.

Current blends include Angora with Merino, Bluefaced Leicester, Corriedale & Alpaca, in a variety of natural and dyed colours.
